Contact Meeting Argentina - Uruguay 2010 " Intensive Management of Pine and Eucalyptus Plantations"
During the meeting we will have the opportunity to review and discuss about operational plantations and regional studies results (RW7, RW18, RW19) established with Coop members. It will start from the city of Montevideo in Uruguay, through Tacuarembo, Concordia, Paso de los Libres and ending in the city of Posadas, Argentina.

Trip Co-directors Dr. Rafael Rubilar and Dr. Jose Luiz Stape to Colombia.
The week of July 29 to August 4, there was a visit from the Co-directors Dr. Rafael Rubilar and Dr. Jose Luiz Stape, companies Smurfit Kappa Carton de Colombia and Refocosta, associated with the Forest Nutrition Cooperative of Colombia. The trip consisted of visits to plantations and operational activities, reviewing the future development of research studies and field visits to Regionwide studies (RW) that are in development for Tectona grandis, Eucalyptus tereticornis, Pinus caribaea and Eucalyptus grandis (RW7 and RW23) in addition to the studies already established in Eucalyptus grandis (RW18). The co-directors he lectures on "Principles and Production Ecophysiology Forest "," Final Results RW18 Trials: Frequency and Dosage of fertilization in Eucalyptus grandis "and" Intensive Management of Forest Plantations: Brazilian Experience".

Discussion Meeting with Cooperatives Chilean July 20-21.
July 20-21, we conducted a field visit with members of the Forest Nutrition Cooperative Chile. The goal of the visit was the approach and discussion of future questions and challenges to be resolved in the nutritional management of Eucalyptus in Chile and the development of new lines of tests. The meeting focused mainly on field visits where they presented concerns and experiences of the cooperative, evaluating possible strategies to increase the productive potential of plantations in Chilean conditions. The visit was attended by equipment and research staff Forestal Mininco (Mr. Oscar Mardones, Mr. Juan Andres Celhay and Mr. Eduardo Brito), Bioforest (Mr. Cristian Montes, Ms. Beatriz Barria, Ms. Sandra Fuenzalida, Mr. Pedro Burgos and Mr. Francisco Garate), Bosques Arauco (Mr. Carlos Jaque and Mr. Luis Briones) and MASISA (Mr. Jaime Rodriguez), in addition to the co-directors of the Cooperative Dr. Rafael Rubilar and Dr. Thomas Fox (on sabbatical in Chile) and the new research associate at FNC, Mr. Agustín Muñoz M. (FNC-UdeC).
